The Different Bet Types in Roulette
Alongside the slots, roulette is one of the simplest and the easiest games to play in the casino floor. The only things one has to know before entering the fray in roulette are the rules and regulations that the game roulette follows. One of the most important parts of the rules that one has to know are the types of bets in roulette.
Knowing the types of bet is essential for any player as everything in roulette revolves around betting. In fact, betting is the only thing done by the players at a roulette so one obviously has no reason to be there if one has no idea what are the bets that players can make in the game.
The types of bets can be divided between two groups: those that are inside bets and those that are outside bets. Inside bets are the bets made when one is wagering on what number will hit on the wheel. They are so called because inside bets are placed on the inner side of the table where the grids for the numbers are.
Alternatively, outside bets are the bets made when one wants to bet on aspects other than numbers such as what color will appear, whether the number that will hit will be odd or even, etc. Like inside bets, outside best are so called because the wagers for outside bets are placed on the outer side of the table where the grid for such bets are placed.
The two types of bets are subdivided with different kinds of bets. For the inside bets there are the single number bets where one will wager what number will hit on the wheel. There are also the split bets where a player will wager that either of the number in a pair of consecutive number on the wheel will hit. There are also the street bets and the corner bets where one wagers on 3 and 4 consecutive numbers consecutively.
There are also different types of bets within outside bets. There's the even or odd wager where one bets as to whether the ball will land on an even or odd tile on the wheel. The case is the same with the black or red wager as one bets as to whether the ball will land on a red or a black tile. The last among the type of bets is the High-Low/Dozens bet where a player bets whether the ball will land on the higher dozen group or on the lower dozen group. In the case of a dozen bet, a player will bet as to which group of a dozen numbers will the ball land.
Knowing the types of bets is important as roulette is all about betting on the right wager. Furthermore, being familiar with the different types of bets is essential for one to be efficient in playing and for one to enjoy the game even more.
